Kota Ternate merupakan salah salah satu Kota yang memiliki destinasi wisata bahari yang potensial, salah satunya adalah Pantai Kastela yang terletak di keluarahan Kastela. Kondisi lingkungan di sekitar pantai Kastela yang kurang tertata menjadi salah satu hal yang perlu dibenahi untuk mengembangkan pariwisata pantai Kastela. Oleh karena itu CSR PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Fuel Terminal Ternate menyelenggarakan program penataan lingkungan Kawasan Pantai Kastela. Program ini bertujuan untuk menata kawasan wisata Ring 1 Pertamina dengan melibatkan peran serta masyarakat melalui pembentukan pokdarwis. Program penataan lingkungan di Kawasan Pantai Kastela diselenggarakan dengan menggunakan strategi kegiatan focus group discussion (FGD) dan perencanaan kerja, sosialisasi penataan lingkungan, pengukuhan kelompok sadar wisata, pelatihan manajemen wisata, pengadaan infastruktur, dan Kerjasama dengan berbagai instansi.
