Publication Schedule

The International Journal of Sustainable Competitiveness in Tourism (IJSCOT) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Politeknik Pariwisata NHI Bandung. The journal disseminates scholarly research and academic contributions that advance knowledge of sustainable competitiveness in tourism.

Publication Frequency

IJSCOT is published twice a year, with two issues annually:

  • April Issue — published in April.

  • October Issue — published in October.

This publication schedule provides a regular platform for disseminating research findings, theoretical developments, and practical insights related to sustainable tourism, destination competitiveness, tourism management, innovation, and responsible tourism development.

Editorial and Peer-Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to IJSCOT undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their relevance to the journal's focus and scope, originality, scholarly contribution, and compliance with the submission guidelines.

Manuscripts that meet the initial requirements may proceed to external peer review. Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewers' comments and editorial recommendations before a final publication decision is made.

Accepted manuscripts proceed through the necessary editorial and production processes, including copyediting, proofreading, reference verification, and layout preparation.

Issue Assignment

The assignment of accepted manuscripts to the April or October issue is determined by the editorial team, taking into account the completion of peer review, the authors' revisions, editorial readiness, and the journal's publication schedule.

Acceptance of a manuscript does not automatically guarantee publication in a specific issue. The editorial team determines the appropriate issue based on the manuscript's readiness and the journal's editorial planning.
