Jurnal Kepariwisataan: Destinasi, Hospitalitas dan Perjalanan (ISSN 2477-3808; e-ISSN 2721-4753) is a peer-reviewed journal which is published by Politeknik Pariwisata NHI Bandung (PPNHIB) Jurnal Kepariwisataan aims at initiating and stimulating advances in hospitality and tourism research. Therefore, it publishes papers that promote new ideas, models, approaches, and paradigms by contributing to the advances in knowledge and theory of hospitality and tourism.
The journal covers applied research studies and review articles, both in a format of the full-length articles and research notes. Applied research studies are expected to examine relationships among variables relevant to hospitality and tourism by employing appropriate analytical or statistical techniques. High-quality review articles that address the latest advances and develop theoretical knowledge or thinking about key aspects of hospitality and tourism are accepted. Research notes are short articles that report advances in methodology, exploratory research findings or extensions / discussions of prior research. Jurnal Kepariwisataan will also welcome commentary in response to published articles.
All manuscripts submitted to this journal must be written in good English. Authors for whom English is not their native language are encouraged to have their paper checked before submission for grammar and clarity. All papers are subject to a double-blind peer-review process based on an initial screening by the editor criteria for evaluation include a significant contribution to the field, conceptual quality, appropriate methodology and clarity of exposition.
Jurnal Kepariwisataan has been accredited PERINGKAT 3 or SINTA 3 on August 3, 2020, by The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (RistekDikti) of The Republic of Indonesia as an achievement for the peer-reviewed journal which has excellent quality in management and publication. The recognition published in Director Decree (SK No. 148/M/KPT/2020) and effective until Volume 9 No 1 2025

Jurnal Kepariwisataan Volume 8, Issue 2, 2024 features a curated selection of 10 scholarly articles contributed by 25 authors from Indonesia and Ethiopia. This issue offers a rich blend of research in tourism, hospitality, and sustainable development, reflecting the journal’s commitment to advancing knowledge and practical innovation in the field. Highlighted studies include an application of sustainable tourism principles in Widosari Tourism Village, Yogyakarta; and an evaluation of service quality, tourist value perception, and destination image for driving revisit intentions in Lombok. Another article introduces a public policy innovation strategy using Analytical Network Process (ANP) in Pamekasan Regency. For tourism technology one article applies conventional statistics and machine learning to analyze Instagram engagement and forecast domestic tourism to Lake Toba and North Sumatra. Other contributions include the development of tourism performance dashboards for national tourism organizations, an impact assessment of cultural events on creative economies (Dieng Creative Festival), and a stakeholder network analysis for regional welfare improvement through Floating Market management. Additional insights explore Gen Z’s preferences in visiting museums through E-WOM and perceived value studies, strategic green tourism development for the Jeneberang River in Makassar, and the opportunities and challenges of community participation in ecotourism in Ethiopia’s Wof-Washa Forest.
These articles collectively contribute to the discourse on sustainable tourism, community engagement, technological integration, and policy innovation, offering valuable insights for academics, practitioners, and policymakers in the tourism sector. This volume underscores interdisciplinary collaboration and applied research in sustainable tourism, policymaking, technology adoption, and visitor behavior.
