Jurnal Kepariwisataan: Destinasi, Hospitalitas, dan Perjalanan (JK) is pleased to announce its formal endorsement of the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA) as part of its commitment to responsible and ethical scholarly publishing.

Jurnal Kepariwisataan: Destinasi, Hospitalitas, dan Perjalanan Volume 10, Number 1 (2026) features 10 peer-reviewed articles authored by 34 researchers from leading Indonesian higher education institutions. This issue presents contemporary research addressing sustainable tourism development, digital innovation, cultural heritage, and evolving tourist behavior.
The published articles explore a broad range of topics, including community-based tourism mapping, digital marketing through short-form video content, religious tourism among Generation Z, halal tourism, digital halal education for hospitality businesses, and the influence of destination image on tourist loyalty. Additional contributions examine the transformation of tour guides as cultural interpreters, mindful walking experiences, collaborative governance in ecotourism, the sustainability of Indigenous Balinese culture, and digital storytelling for promoting traditional culinary tourism. Collectively, these studies contribute to advancing knowledge in destination management, hospitality, tourism marketing, cultural sustainability, digital transformation, and community empowerment. By combining theoretical perspectives with practical implications, this issue offers valuable insights for researchers, academics, policymakers, and tourism practitioners committed to developing innovative and sustainable tourism destinations.
