Jurnal Kepariwisataan: Destinasi, Hospitalitas dan Perjalanan is a peer-reviewed scientific journal managed and published by the Research and Community Service Center, Politeknik Pariwisata NHI Bandung (PPNHIB). The journal aims to initiate and stimulate advances in research in the fields of hospitality and tourism.

The journal publishes scholarly articles that promote new ideas, models, approaches, and paradigms, contributing to the development of knowledge and theory in hospitality and tourism. It serves as an academic forum for researchers, educators, practitioners, and policymakers at national and international levels.

Section Policies

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

Applied Research Articles: Empirical studies examining relationships among variables relevant to hospitality and tourism using appropriate analytical or statistical techniques.

Review Articles: Critical reviews that discuss recent developments and advance theoretical perspectives in hospitality and tourism studies.

Research Notes: Short manuscripts reporting methodological developments, exploratory research findings, or extensions and discussions of prior studies.

Commentaries: Scholarly responses to articles previously published in the journal.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts are reviewed through a double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers to ensure academic quality, originality, relevance, and methodological rigor.

Publication Frequency

Jurnal Kepariwisataan is published periodically (biannual) June and December.

Accreditation and Indexing

Jurnal Kepariwisataan has been accredited as PERINGKAT 3 (SINTA 3) by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (RistekDikti) of the Republic of Indonesia, recognizing its high editorial standards and contribution to hospitality and tourism research.

Jurnal Kepariwisataan Volume 9, Issue 1, 2025 presents a compilation of 10 scholarly articles authored by 23 researchers from Indonesia and Malaysia showcasing interdisciplinary contributions in tourism development, hospitality innovation, and destination management. This issue highlights diverse topics including the promotion of Indonesian coffee diplomacy through international cultural events in Tunisia, bibliometric mapping of Indonesia’s community-based tourism research landscape, and determinants of satisfaction in ecotourism experiences influencing revisit intentions at Grafika Cikole Tourism Terminal. Digital transformation themes are emphasized through a study on leveraging electronic word of mouth (eWOM) to advance sustainability marketing in Bali and Lombok, followed by an analytical exploration of machine learning specifically Random Forest models to enhance operational decision-making in the hotel industry. Urban tourism revitalization is examined through product development research in the Cikini area of Jakarta, while event-based tourism insights are delivered through an assessment of travel patterns and satisfaction at the International Folk and Art Festival in Kutai Kartanegara. Comparative destination management strategies are discussed through water-based tourism development in Surakarta and Japan, complemented by a branding study applying the Unique Selling Proposition approach to Kampung Adat Ratenggaro in East Nusa Tenggara. Rounding out the issue is an analysis of visitor experiential touchpoints in a culinary tourism destination in Hainan, China, based on the Zero to Ultimate Moment of Truth framework. Collectively, these articles advance contemporary discourse in sustainable tourism development, cultural diplomacy, digital marketing, destination branding, and visitor behavior, offering practical insights for policymakers, academics, and industry practitioners. The editorial team extends appreciation to all authors and reviewers for their contributions and looks forward to further impactful research in future publications.
